April 2022 Mission Status Updates and Pictures
April 25, 2022
Hello Art, Ministry partners and fellow Parshooters,
Greetings from Tacloban City, Philippines. We finished our Southern Visayas mission and ended at the most historic island of Limasawa where 2021 is the 500th year anniversary of Ferdinand Magellan’s first land and first Catholic mass celebrated in the Philippines.
Sadly Limasawa is where the eye of the Typhoon Odette swept all the way through southern Leyte and to Palawan where thousands of families lost their homes and some lost their lives.
Another heavy rains took a toll in eastern Leyte with a lot of deaths and casualties due to landslides burying homes with families still missing. Timely we have the opportunity to serve them with safe clean drinking water that we set up to the evacuation centers throughout the areas that were affected.
We are flying back to Manila tomorrow and continue the rest of our schedule. Thank you for your prayers and please continue to pray for health and also to our volunteers.
God’s best,
Robert Aragon
